The people behind the byline
Africanskd is written by a small content team working with the AfricanSKD community. We publish under one shared byline, Samuel Okello, and we say so openly. A pen name keeps the focus on the young people and programs in each story, and it protects contributors who work closely with vulnerable youth.
Every story under this byline follows the same editorial standards: no invented statistics or quotes, informed consent before any young person’s story is told, and no details that could put someone at risk. If you have a correction or a story we should look into, our contact page reaches the whole team.
We’re open to guest contributions from youth workers, trainers, teachers and young people themselves. Tell us what you’d like to write about and why you’re the right person to write it.
