Dance floors where discipline, confidence and careers get built

Dance sits at the heart of AfricanSKD. Long before there was a website, there were rehearsals, and young people who turned up every week because the crew expected them.

We cover dance as serious work. A rehearsal teaches timing, memory, teamwork and how to take correction without walking out. A performance teaches a young person to stand in front of a crowd and own the space. Some dancers go on to teach, choreograph, perform professionally or run their own classes. Others carry the discipline into a trade or back to school.
